x universal sea Harare, Zimbabwe - Robert Mugabe deserves a little respect. He does some controversial things but his intentions make sense. If you're a white person, you are probably disgusted at his policy of taking land away from white farmers to provide black farmers with land. However, it's really just reversing the colonial period when whites over-ran black land and now he's trying to correct it.

You can always count on him for some excellent pointed rhetoric.

The points he has made:

=> That the USA must set an example on disarmament by destroying their own weapons of destruction first.

=> Why should the West criticise Zimbabwe's elections when the 2000 U.S. presidential elections were such a joke?

=> The big countries team up together to pick on the smaller, weaker countries.

=> "Who should the world impose sanctions on? Robert Mugabe or George Bush?" he asked.

Do any of us still yearn for Al Gore winning in 2000, by the way? Would this have been such a hated, arrogant and self-centred group of leading politicians?

If Mugabe could cut down on the violence, the unnecessary deaths and media scare tactics, and allow the opposition party to be represented, he'd be doing some corrections of his own.
