x Wolf I have all ways thought that the odds of there being other earth like planets were massive - I think it's only the religious that are arrogant enough to think that earth is unique.

x Cheese_toastie Hey, I'm religious but I think there are other life forms out there. These scientists are only looking for planets that could suit us, they do not understand that maybe the aliens would take some other form of gas and liquid for their nutrients and they also do not understand that although the conditions on these planets are harsh that maybe their bodies could sustain all because they have adapted to the climate.

x Jess That's true enough.. it's like they've been told to find another planet suitable for human life.

Bloody cowards can't stand the heat so they gotta find a new kitchen hmm

x Cheese_toastie Anyway what would intellegent life want to do with us? They could try a take over or use us as a post but they would have done that by now, we knew last year Iraq didn't have any weapons but the aliens still haven't come.

x Universal Sea It might take thousands of years for aliens to reach us from distant planets. Our planet has only been obnoxious enough for 2004 years where aliens might have taken note.

x Universal Sea well... our planet is certainly arsed about exploring space, I would almost guarantee there are flying objects far away exploring their own terrain.

chances are everything is pretty much at the same stage of evolution. there are probably human-like beings on earth-like planets with the differences relating to the proximity to their closest brightest stars and regularity of impact with foreign objects.

x Cheese_toastie Sure why not...

I think it will be a good defensive post, if wee could get some huge rocket boosters and bury them into Mars try and speed it up and give it an anual view of the earth.
